The DJI Matrice 4TD (M4TD) is an enterprise-grade, multi-sensor thermal drone designed for public safety, emergency response, inspections, and automated operations. It is built for demanding environments and extended missions where reliability, sensor fusion, and low-light capability are critical.
Core Capabilities
Integrated thermal imaging for locating people, animals, and heat sources in darkness, smoke, or obscured conditions
Multi-camera optical payload including wide, medium-tele, and telephoto cameras for situational awareness and detailed observation
Laser range finder to measure distance, height, and target location for precision operations
Near-infrared (NIR) auxiliary illumination to enhance nighttime and low-light visibility
Performance & Durability
Extended flight endurance suitable for long-duration overwatch and search missions
All-weather design (IP-rated) for operation in rain, dust, and harsh environments
High-stability flight platform optimized for wind resistance and controlled hovering
Designed for automated and remote operations, including compatibility with fixed docking solutions
Operational Use Cases
Search and Rescue (SAR) — rapid thermal detection of missing or injured persons
Fire & Emergency Response — hotspot detection, perimeter monitoring, and scene awareness
Law Enforcement & Public Safety — overwatch, suspect tracking, and officer safety
Infrastructure Inspection — bridges, utilities, towers, and facilities requiring thermal and optical analysis
Why Agencies Choose the M4TD
The M4TD bridges the gap between portable tactical drones and large heavy-lift platforms, offering a balance of endurance, advanced sensing, and rapid deployment. Its sensor fusion and automation-ready design make it especially well-suited for DFR (Drone as First Responder) programs and mission-critical operations.
